Ski hire Bormio
At the foot of the Stilfserjoch close to Switzerland, lies the resort of Bormio that dates back over 2000 years. The resort renowned for having hosted the alpine ski world championships twice, in 1985 and 2005. At the end of every year, during the festive holiday season, Bormio is a stopover resort for the Alpine Ski World Cup with its famous Stelvio piste, which is over 4km long and considered to be the best suited for this kind of race. However, expert skiers won’t be the only ones to enjoy themselves in Bormio. Skiers of all levels can expect to enjoy themselves on the wide mountainsides above the wooded area. It is possible to avail of the Alta Valtellina common skipass and thus have access to the 170km of varied slopes in the skiing areas of the resorts of Santa Caterina, Livigno, and Valdidentro. A free shuttle service is available giving easy access between the areas. In the evening, the picturesque old town invites holiday makers to relax in its welcoming bistros, cafés and small shops, museums, theaters and cinemas !
